Alexander Daumas was a silk manufacturer in Vienna. At Schaumburgergasse Nr. 373, he had 150 weaving looms, to produce fabric used for clothes, furniture and blankets. His pattern studies are part of the MAK archive. The napkin theme is from 1831.
