The work of London-based Michael Anastassiades aims to provoke dialogue, participation, and interaction. His objects – minimal, utilitarian, and almost mundane, yet full of vitality – resonate with those of the Viennese workshop of Carl Auböck. The two collaborated on this cylindrical pepper mill, named Italic for its jaunty five-degree tilt. Designed by Anastassiades and made by Carl Auböck for Sigmar, the polished brass form combines old-world craftsmanship with practical, elegant, and delightful design.

Each mill is nestled inside a latched wooden box that is ideal for gifting and storage.
