Signs Taken in Wonder searches for Istanbul through the eyes of contemporary artists and writers fascinated by the city from both local and international perspectives. The book includes an essay by renowned Turkish author Mario Levi published in English and German for the first time, a study by Nikos Papastergiadis of the meaning of "the cosmos" and "cosmopolitanism" for the 21st century, and a wealth of information about the Istanbul art scene and the artists and exhibition it celebrates.
