Anish Kapoor's space-conquering sculptures including "Shooting into the Corner", a work in progress created especially for the MAK - growing up out of wax that is reminiscent of skinless flesh and thrown into the world by a machine - are in the center of the eponymous MAK exhibition. Following the artist's idea, his objects are created out of concealment; they take on material form and playfully engage the viewer's perception: "What you see isn't what you see. It's never what you see. It never was what you see."

This special edition was published for the exhibition opening on January 20, 2009, ANISH KAPOOR. Shooting into the Corner (21.1.–19.4.2009) at the MAK.

Edited by Peter Noever, with contributions by Bettina M. Busse, Peter Noever, Michael Stavaric.
